Tonight Phill felt that Finwe needed to be a part of dinner by sitting in his highchair. This also meant that I didn't have him in my lap as I ate. I was all for this testing out the chair. In about a month, we will start letting Finwe get his first bites of solid food. Phill will get this job. We always let Phill do it. The babies get the milk from me and the solid food from Daddy. It's a good balance.
The highchair is another one of those spent-too-much-money purchases. We spent $70 four years ago. We can adjust the lean of the seat and the height of the chair. We can take off the top tray and stick it in the dishwasher. These are nice features, but the $25 no frills chair that my parents bought for their house is just as functional.
It's true that we have gotten plenty of use out of the chair. It's been used by Inwe, TWA Pilot's sons when they would visit, other friends' babies, Larien, Idril, Cirdan, and soon Finwe. It's gotten use, but just think about the cost to use ratio if we had bought a $25 one.

He looks so adorable sitting in the high chair. Oh, I can't wait to hold my Captain! I'm counting down the three weeks!
We don't have a high chair yet!!
