Today I was gone for a few hours to a meeting. I always worry that somehow the three children will overwhelm Phill, and I'll come home to chaos and crying. Granted, this has never happened, but that fact does not prevent me from worrying that it one day will occur.I left with Finwe fed and sleeping. This sleeping did not last long as Larien woke up the entire napping household--White Dragon and Sogria included. It wasn't that she was unhappy; she had a poopy diaper and didn't want to have it stay on her for the entire nap time.
I'm not sure how Phill did it, but he managed to get Larien to help him make an owl puppet out of a paper bag. He then used the owl puppet to entertain Finwe, who was quite unhappy to have a short nap and no mommy to soothe him.
I arrived home in time to take a picture of Finwe paying close attention to the puppet. Inwe was quite excited about the puppet as well. My crafty husband? I never guessed.
I broke the rule of laying down with a toddler to help her fall asleep and fell asleep along with her. I woke up a short time later, headed down the stairs, and found Phill intently working on a second puppet. This one a dragon. The girls are going to love this. How many times are they going to ask me to make something like this tomorrow? And, I wonder if the dragon puppet will work magic with a fussy Finwe tomorrow like the owl puppet did today?

Wow that is sooo cool! How very creative Phil is!! I don't think Alan would have thought of doing that at all at all.
You go, Phil! Way to show off your latent talents! WaWa is sooo jealous.
