Pediatricians don't ask parents fi the baby is crawling. Crawling is just not a developmental milestone because many babies never crawl. Some scoot on their bottoms, others cruise (walk holding onto table or other prop), and some babies just roll to where they want to go. The important milestone is the locomotion to an object. Being able to move is the goal, not how the baby moves.I'm pretty sure Finwe is going to be a crawler. He definitly tries to get up on all fours. He also is very accomplished at making a plank pose (forgive the yoga terminology--it's the up part of a push-up). Can you see this pose from the picture. His knees aren't touching the gound. It's all hands and toes here.

The second picture shows you that Finwe can move. It's backwards motion, but he is moving. He started at the green blanket aligned with the yoga mat. You can see how far he traveled.
