I've written before about how we aren't following the "rules" when it comes to feeding Finwe solid food. We are just giving him whatever is at hand, with the exception of eggs, nuts, cow's milk, and seafood. We feel confident doing this as neither Inwe or Larien has any food allergies.

Tonight we tried some Gerber Turkey Sticks. Phill used his fingers to pull the sticks apart into small pieces. He fed Finwe using his fingers.

What was Finwe's reaction? He leaned forward for more. Once, when a morsel dropped of Phill's finger therefore missing the mouth, Finwe cried an angry cry.

Finwe ate two of these sticks tonight. These things are about the same size as a Vienna sausage. This is the first time we have really seen Finwe excited about solid food.
