I know I may have posted a picture like this, but this is Finwe's first "sitting-up" bath. Since he can sit up on his own really well I no longer need to use the lay-down bathtub. That will be one thing to give away to a family member or a friend. (Trixie or Molly let me know.)This picture was taken at MomMom's house. We are using a tub meant to put drinks and ice in at a party. It works really well as a baby bathtub. Both the girls have used something like this while at my parents' house.
Using these type of tubs for baths is like how my sister and I would take baths at my grandmother's house in Mississippi. We would be caked with the mud from her yard or garden and too dirty to enter my grandmother's house. She would fill the metal washtubs up with water and let the sun warm it while we played some more. When the water was warm enough, we would climb in the metal tub to wash away the caked-on mud. When we left the water it would be the color of the Mississippi River.
Finwe hasn't gotten that dirty. I'm sure that he will one day. Both my daughters have. They got hose baths. I guess I need to invest in some outdoor tubs.

My baby will probably be able to sit up, so ask Molly, ok? Thanks though :)
My Grandparents did the same thing because their driveway was red clay. They had large barrels and old horse troughs and metal wash bins. It was fun!
I would love the laydown bath thing. (you can tell this is my first child, I do not know the terminology).
I think we will buy a new car seat, so don't worry about sending that. Thanks again for the fat...i mean maternity...clothes.
Between you and Big Chief, I don't think I will have to buy anything else!
