During our trip to North Carolina, we went to Paramount's Carowinds. I was willing to slog it out so that the girls could have a good time at Winterfest, but I was also seriously concerned where Finwe was going to nurse. He's a good nurser, so sitting down on a bench isn't a problem for either of us. However, it was just a bit nippy out, and having to deal with the exposure wasn't my idea of a comfortable situation. Yes, I could have pumped and given him a bottle, but then I'd have to worry about warming it up. Still a bit of a challenge.
Did I have to worry? No. Right in the midst of all the rides that my girls could ride was a Baby Care and Lost Kids station. This was a heated building with a kind attendant. One side had a huge diaper changing area. The middle held two family restrooms and a small play area (which I suppose would be for a lost kid waiting for a parent). The other side had two curtained areas containing comfortable gliders just for nursing moms. Also on this side were two high chairs for spoon feeding infants. Isn't that great? I think so, and I know that Finwe enjoyed the relaxed mom and warm nursing atmosphere. Two thumbs up for Paramount.

So the car trip was ok for Finwe then? No crying?
Oh, he cried, but I knew the reasons for him crying. Like when we left he was tired, but we were in stop/start traffic so he never got that car rhythm that helps him fall asleep. Once we got on open road he was fine. The other times that he cried (this was a five hour trip) he needed to nurse or had a dirty diaper. So, we pulled over and took care of those things. He never cried just to cry, thankfully.
