My 20 Days of Visitors is Over

This of course means that Phill and I now have complete responsibility for the house, the laundry, the groceries, the cooking, and playing with the children. While having company can sometimes be tiring, these past 20 days have not been. It was liberating to have so many people around to amuse the children and the dogs, to cook, clean, and shop for us. As a tribute to the lovely, helpful people who came to visit for Finwe's first two weeks of life here is a list and the helpful things they did:

  • Mom Mom-groceries, cooking, cleaning, laundry, childcare (a few days on her own too!), baby holding
  • Pop Pop-playing with children, getting said children to eat, shopping, odd jobs, dog care and entertainment, bathing children, baby holding in an emergency
  • Auntie J-cooking, groceries, cleaning, baby warmer and holder extroidinaire
  • Uncle L-groceries, sous chef help for Auntie J, baby massager and holder extroidinaire
  • Aunt Maverick-playing with children, baby holding, diaper changer, lawn service
  • Trixie-baby holding, Larien distraction, dinner help, cleaning, helping me have adult conversation for hours (so wonderful!)
  • WaWa-dinner help, baby holding, fellow FSU football fan for long discussions with Pop Pop

All of you will be missed. Come back when you can.

On our way...of course we are walking to your house in an effort to lose weight, save money and protect the environment. So don't wait up. We'll see you around April ;)
