While the four self-feeding humans in the house were eating dinner, Finwe was on the floor of the dining room next to my chair. He happily played with his toys next to White Dragon as she lounged next to Larien's chair hoping for a mess to fall from the table. (She didn't get it.)
Finwe flung a toy into the corner of the dining room where we keep White Dragon's food and water bowl. He went to retrieve it. He crawled, hand, knee, hand, knee. There was no lunging or rolling--just a slow, deliberate crawl.
Once he arrived near the toy, he discovered the dog bowls nestled in the little table. The first one, the food one, was empty. White Dragon moved to the water bowl and took a few laps showering Finwe's leg in the process. Finwe began to explore the second, completely full water bowl.
His hand made a tenative splash. The next splash was a bit bigger. He reached out with both hands from his sitting position only to flop on his belly. He settled for one hand in the water while he supported his body with the other hand.
Not long after, swash! All the water spilt onto the floor as the small table came tumbling down.
