Eight Months

Finwe is eight months old now. It was yesterday, but I forgot to post. He's made such amazing leaps lately. I don't know if it his age or all of the attention he is getting from all these people at my mother's house.

He's moving so well. He either rolls or falls forward from a crawling position to get where he wants. There are some moments when it looks like he is just going to stand up.

Holding him is a challenge. He likes to jump. He really won't stop and jumps up to six times in a row before taking a short break. He then jumps again and again.

He figured out how to make tight fists with his hands and shake them. I don't really think he is angry as he was imitating my cousin, Good4Water, at dinner one night. Those two had a connection. Good4Water will make such a good dad.

He's fighting sleep more and more. Many times Auntie J has had to rock him to sleep. On Monday, when a large group of people left, it took all of us to get him calm enough so that he could sleep. Uncle L finally got him to sleep while sitting on the outdoor bench swing.

On the Wednesday before my father died, he bought Finwe two rompers. One says "Submarine" on it. The other has a tow truck on it. The embroidery underneath the truck reads "Available 24 hours". Each night that he has worn that to bed, Finwe has not slept well. He will not be wearing that to bed again. I've learned my lesson.

Lastly, Finwe is getting a tooth. It's the bottom right incisor. It's there under the surface but has yet to really make an appearance.
