On my two very recent outings I have been asked the question, "How old is your baby?" Here's an example of the looks I have received to my answer of "five weeks."Look #1 from pregnant lady: Utter and complete horror. I assume this look is due to her imagining what it would be like to give birth to this behemoth baby. Little did she know it was a c-section. It was no walk in the park, but I didn't break a sweat or blaspheme or inflict bodily harm on my husband.
Look #2 from mom holding an infant car seat covered with a blanket not allowing air or sunlight on the baby: Amazement. I wasn't sure why she was so amazed until I saw her holding her little girl. This cute baby is just five pounds at four weeks. The baby is doing well, thankfully. That's a mighty small baby. I've seen smaller, but those have been in the neonatal intensive care unit.
